CultureCivic: A strong cultural life and civil society

We participate in CultureCIVIC, an EU programme that aims to bolster Turkish civil society with a EUR 3.5 million funding mechanism for arts and culture. The goal is to extend beyond Türkiye’s conventional cultural centres and consequently enhance civic engagement, cultural dialogue, and capacity building in the Turkish arts and culture sector. CultureCIVIC backs projects and individuals that advocate cultural dialogue, tolerance, freedom of expression, non-discrimination, LGBT+ rights, social cohesion, individual freedoms, and democratic processes. We assist in assessing the applications and evaluating the programme’s progress.
