Taxi Cultura

In Moldova, cultural opportunities are limited in rural areas and small towns. Therefore, through the New Democracy Fund, we support the exchange programme “Taxi Cultura”, which aims to make art and culture more accessible to those living outside major cities.

The project also aims to ensure the cultural rights of marginalised groups, including refugees, children, and people with disabilities. Through collaboration between 21 artists and 19 host organisations, various cultural projects such as exhibitions, video screenings, lectures, and performances were carried out in 2023. “Taxi Cultura” not only engaged people in cultural activities in remote areas but also helped revitalise abandoned public spaces, giving them new purpose and content.
