Dodo Tells Fairy Tales

“Dodo Tells Fairy Tales” is a workshop program that was organised in collaboration with Atta Festival and Bütün Çocuklar Bizim Derneği. Here, around 150 children divided into three events gathered to hear the story about the flying suitcase by the Danish author, H.C. Andersen. The three events took place in ‘Neighbourhood Houses’ – an initiative developed by Istanbul Municipality to extend the educational and psychosocial support to economically vulnerable areas of the city.

After the storytelling, workshops were held that focused on strengthening the children’s storytelling skills and creative thinking through interactive play. For the workshop, the children were given an activity pack consisting of, among other things, colored pencils, and glue and with exercises and games such as drawing, role playing and movement, they worked with the themes in the story.
