Nordic Focus Festival in Gdansk
Nordic Focus Festival inspires discussion of the Nordic image in Poland
From November 23rd Nordic Focus Festival in Gdańsk will inspire discussion of the image of the Nordic community depicted in literature, films and TV series. Participants will look into the culture and life in the North and consider whether that reality influences the population of the rest of the world.
Danish writer and director Daniel Dencik will be one of the main guests of the festival. His movie Expedition to the End of The World will officially open the festival, after which he will take part in a discussion panel Ultima Thule. Culture at the Outskirts of the North together with Agata Lubowicka, PhD, Professor Maria Sibińska, Lisbeth Nebelong and Piotr Mikołajczak. Daniel will also take part in a Q&A session the next day, where his other movie Moon Rider will also be screened.
Another Danish segment in the program is a presentation on Danish culture by Danish Cultural Institute in Warsaw’s interns Amanda Laasholdt and Adnan Tajić
