About us
We believe that art and culture are among Denmark’s most important assets.
We develop international activities with partners that challenge boundaries and create mutual value and inspiration. Especially regarding equal rights, education, sustainable development, democracy, and active citizenship.
Our vision is to show that the exchange of art, culture and knowledge can contribute to handling global challenges and strengthening the Sustainable Development Goals.
Danish Cultural Institute is a self-governing institution. Since 1940 we have been engaged in creating mutual understanding between people.
Where we work
Our activities abroad are the focal points for the creation of long-term cultural relations. With departments and activities in several countries, we strive to be close to the world developments, right, where art, culture and knowledge really do make a difference.
Our headquarters is in Copenhagen and we have departments and activities in the Eastern Neighbourhood Countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan), the Baltic countries, Türkiye, India, China and Brazil.
