Nordic Dialogues 2018 in Brasilia on gender equality

What can a Nordic perspective on gender issues bring to the table in a Brazilian context? A whole lot if you ask the people behind Diálogos Nórdicos or Nordic Dialogues 2018. Danish Cultural Institute in Brazil is a partner on the project which is a cooperative effort between several organizations and the Brazilian embassies of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

As the name would suggest, the aim of Nordic Dialogues is to provide a platform for discussions on important issues – for both Brazilians and people from the Nordic countries. The conversations about Nordic approaches and practices in different areas of societal concern is a possibility for Brazilians to be inspired and to engage themselves in public debate.

The theme of Nordic Dialogues 2018 is gender equality. Bringing to light Nordic experiences in this field broadens the perspective for discussing the subject in Brazil. As part of the dialogue series a seminar will take place in Brasilia on the 11th and 12th of June, on equality between genders, the representation of women in politics and other relevant themes in connection to the main theme of Nordic Dialogues 2018.
